I think I need to back step on the last entry.

Teacher Appreciation wasn't the only area where cuts were made. Although, Teacher Appreciation was cut by 75%. There were areas we all felt were double dipping. Areas such as, ESL (English Support) and Speech. Teachers who instruct more than one area; ie., music/chorus, and band/orchestra. There were areas we knew that had few classes and received grants for extra classroom material, such as the IU classes.

It isn't as if I'm bitter towards the Teachers, I truly appreciate their chosen calling in life and the hard work they exert in preparing our children for the future.

The Teachers get paid good. Their income by far surpasses the median income of this county. Yes, I realize if we didn't pay what we did, we'd lose many good teachers. But at the same time, no one is holding a gun to their head and telling them to do this. After all, we still live in a free society. But we're in the midst of war, people have far less access to needless spending, groceries have increased, fuel has increased and cuts and sacrifices need to be made by all.
